Job Description
We are looking for Mechanical Testing Engineers to join our R&D Labs, in our HQ in Piombino Dese (PD).
As a Test Engineer, you will check materials, procedures, and mechanical systems to ensure that customers get high-quality, functional products. You will develop and run tests on various components and features in order to characterize the functional properties resulting in certain performances and thus identifying and fixing any technical issues. You will work closely with the design and development teams to understand why we’re building a product and what the specific requirements are. You will run a series of tests through all stages of design and production to identify potential malfunctions and recommend improvements.
Fields of Application:
Drug Delivery Systems & Medical Devices (DDS)
Drug Containment Solution/Container Closure Systems/pharmaceutical primary and secondary packaging (DCS)
Some of your responsibilities:
Gather product requirements (e.g. functionalities and safety standards)
Monitor all production stages to ensure safety procedures are followed
Run quality controls on components and final products
Develop tests for all mechanical and electrical systems
Analyze test results, detect issues, and track root causes
Suggest fixes and improvements
Document technical issues and solutions
Ensure our products and procedures meet industry standards (e.g. ISO)
Qualifications
Engineering Master’s degree in: mechanical, mechatronic, biomedical, materials science, physics or relevant fields
PhD in related fields (is a plus)
Good English language proficiency
Mechanical aptitude and materials knowledge are required (glass, plastic, and rubber preferred)
Experience/familiarity with functional/mechanical testing (according to ISO 9001)
Knowledge of Universal testing machines (dynamometer, tribometer, etc.)
Statistical analysis of dataset (Minitab preferred) and design of experiment
Root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
Software: good knowledge of Minitab, Microsoft Office, Six Sigma and/or green belt certification (nice to have)
Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) (nice to have)
