Role:
BESS & Solar Project Developer – Italy
We are looking for an experienced and driven Project Developer to lead the development of utility-scale battery energy storage and solar PV projects across Italy. This role involves taking projects from early-stage land identification through to full development and ready-to-build status.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and secure suitable sites for large-scale battery and solar projects.
* Lead the development process including land lease negotiations, permitting, and grid applications.
* Coordinate with consultants, local authorities, and internal teams to move projects forward.
* Monitor planning and regulatory developments relevant to renewable energy projects.
* Build strong relationships with landowners, regional authorities, and grid operators.
* Ensure project timelines, budgets, and compliance standards are met.
Requirements:
* Proven experience developing renewable energy projects in Italy, ideally including BESS and solar.
* Strong knowledge of Italian permitting processes, land acquisition, and grid application procedures.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
* Fluent in Italian; proficiency in English is an advantage.
* Degree in engineering, environmental science, energy, or a related field preferred.
