Overview
Senior Process Engineer for fume treatment plant — Tenova. We are looking for a qualified professional to join our Environmental Technologies Team to work on projects with high technology complexity in an international environment.
In this role you will influence process design and provide engineering solutions to final supply, aiming to enhance the process, add value, reduce costs, and simplify operations.
Responsibilities
* Process design of the fume treatment system for Meltshops: Process Flow Diagram, P&I, Interlocking Matrix, Functional Description
* Customer follow up: Training, Standard Operating Practices, monitor process parameters and optimization
* Project setup, cold testing, commissioning, performance verification, and partial erection advisor activities
* Define technical choices for process quality/cost levels according to project requirements
* Conduct inspections and assessments of plant and equipment on site
* Provide feedback to headquarter with on-site lessons learned
* Prepare process specifications and appropriate sizing of system components
* Manage technical documentation of the process, review and comment on offers and supplier documents
* Active role in process innovation by seeking new technologies and developing existing applications
* Maintain, review and improve industry standards, systems, procedures and best practices
* Provide process engineering input to marketing and proposals to support Business Development
* Provide process information, such as basic design calculations and process-engineering input
Qualifications
* Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical); specialization in Advanced Material and Manufacturing is an added value
* 3+ years of experience in the steel industry
* Dedusting system knowledge
* Ability to communicate with customers from plant operators to general managers
* Ability to organize and manage site activities
* Ability to understand and deliver piping and instrumentation diagrams
* Knowledge of engineering calculation techniques
* Competence in using simulation software and other methodologies
* Willingness to work in a team
* Fluent in English
* Willingness to travel
* Optional: Knowledge of PC tools (CRM and/or ERP)
