Head of Sales - Italy (Veterinary Diagnostics)

The Opportunity
Hartmann Young is partnering with a fast-growing European veterinary diagnostics company to appoint a Head of Sales for Italy, covering both laboratory services and point-of-care (POC) diagnostic solutions.
This is a high-impact leadership role offering significant autonomy, influence over commercial strategy, and the opportunity to build a best-in-class sales organisation in a highly fragmented and diverse market.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and scale the commercial organisation across North, Central, and Southern Italy, recognising the unique dynamics of each region
* Manage and develop an existing sales and marketing team
* Drive growth across both POC diagnostic systems and laboratory services, working closely with veterinary clinics and networks
* Implement sales systems, processes, and performance frameworks to support rapid and sustainable scale
* Leverage deep market insight and customer relationships to inform pricing, portfolio focus, and go-to-market strategy
About You
* Proven senior sales leadership experience within veterinary diagnostics in Italy
* Strong background across POCT and laboratory diagnostics (systems, services, or both)
* Demonstrated success managing and scaling field-based sales teams and agent networks
* Well-established network within Italian veterinary clinics and groups
* Commercially astute, data-driven, and highly motivated by growth and transformation
* Comfortable operating in a scale-up environment with evolving structures
