Welding Engineer Role Summary/Purpose: The Welding Engineer is responsible of design of weld joints for pressure vessel and mechanical component according to ASME or EN code. Moreover, in this role, the welding Engineer shall be responsible to identify state of art of the welding technique used, to develop and implement new and improved weld joint designs and welding processes for use in the production of the components. As a Welding Engineer, you will be responsible for: Following projects to improve welding process capability. Providing welding design for the production components Assessing production trends Following production failure analysis and mentoring others along the way Supporting on Design of necessary tooling and fixturing Participating in NPI (New Product Introduction) programs consisting of design, development, prototyping and manufacturing implementation Qualifications/Requirements: Material or Mechanical Engineering Degree Certification of welding engineer from Welding Italian Institute (CSWIP 3.1) Experience working within regulated industries. Expertise with ASME Section IX Code, EN ISO3834 Experience with TIG, micro, spot, and laser welding Experience with stainless steel, nickel alloys, aluminum, and titanium Expertise with various failure analysis tools and methods Proven experience in problem-solving and failure analysis Effective interpersonal and leadership skills Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
