Responsibilities Perform a subset of hardware engineering activities applicable to Thermal Engineering. Analyse and define thermal needs using methods such as simulations, mock-ups, models, and prototypes. Describe the thermal functions and requirements and formalise the thermal specification and architectural design to develop hardware solutions. Identify critical development problems and assist in their resolution; write timely, technically accurate reports of findings. Participate in thermal testing activities and correlate analysis with test results. Validate thermal compliance of systems and components with respect to group standards. Design and develop effective cooling systems and identify ideas to improve designs. Qualifications Master of Engineering or Computer Science in a university program. Significant experience in hardware development and thermal engineering. Strong teamwork, customer-oriented mindset, and ability to work in multidisciplinary environments. Rigorous and analytical approach to problem solving and results. Ability to multitask and manage several projects to meet deadlines. Competencies and Tools Strong technical background in mathematics, science, and computer science with knowledge of thermal laws, norms and standards. Experience with thermal technology and control components (HP, MLIs, radiators, coatings, thermal interface materials, passive EEE parts like heaters, thermistors). Tools and methods: Ansys Icepak, Ansys Fluent, Mentor Flotherm; thermal models, junction temperature, thermal resistance, electronics cooling; thermal tests (Temperature, Humidity, Salt fog, Pressure).
