MISSION
The E‑Retail Performance & Merchandising Specialist is responsible for elevating brand Italy’s presence and performance across e‑retail partners.
The role focuses on digital merchandising excellence, platform data analysis, and consumer insights to improve conversion, optimize product visibility, and enhance brand experience across pure players and e‑retailers.
This profile is ideal for candidates with experience in pure e‑commerce environments such as Amazon, Zalando, Douglas online, or other digital retail platforms.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage digital merchandising activities across retailers websites, ensuring content completeness & quality (perfect execution of Product Pages, Brand Pages, taxonomy, images, and SEO‑optimized descriptions).
Monitor and optimize the “digital shelf” to maximize visibility, ranking, and share of voice inside the retailer’s website working also closely with retailer’s team.
Coordinate with internal EMEA and Marketing teams to ensure consistent assets, brand look & feel, and updated content.
Performance Analysis & Insights
Track and analyze platform KPIs: conversion rate, traffic, search rankings, keywords, click‑through rates, promo performance, and assortment productivity.
Collect and synthesize data from dashboards (e.g., Profitero, Similarweb and retailer BI systems with also consumer data).
Monitor constantly stock and pricing and be on charge of the delivery of weekly reports
Create actionable insights and recommendations to improve product performance, content quality, and shopper engagement.
Analyze consumer journeys, search patterns, reviews, and behavioral trends across different e‑retail platforms.
Monitor competitive benchmarks, category dynamics, and best practices to identify growth opportunities.
Support the development of data‑driven merchandising guidelines.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Key Account Managers, Marketing, Supply Chain and Digital teams to ensure alignment on assortment, launches, stock availability, and activation plans.
Collaborate with retailer e‑commerce teams to secure visibility opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related fields.
At least 4-5 years of experience in e‑commerce roles within pure player environments (Amazon, Zalando, marketplace operators, online retailers) or brand‑side e‑commerce teams.
Experience using e‑retail analytics tools (Brand Analytics, traffic dashboards, CRM or BI platforms).
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel, data tools, or dashboards. • Good understanding of digital merchandising principles, SEO for e‑retail, and online consumer behavior.
Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced digital environments.
Proactive and collaborative mindset, with strong communication skills. • Fluency in English and Italian.
Experience with SEO and SEM strategies.
Understanding of UX/UI principles.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
