Our teams partner with engineers from major silicon companies to integrate next-generation features and performance enhancements for upcoming hardware. As a Partner Engineering Manager at Canonical, your role involves managing relationships with key technology partners, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones. Technical leadership and a background in software engineering are essential. You will lead, challenge, and develop engineers, influence company culture, facilitate technical delivery, and work on strategy and execution. Responsibilities Lead a distributed team to design and implement Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT and server hardware platforms. Engage with partners to deliver an optimized Ubuntu experience on their platforms. Develop your team through coaching, mentoring, and feedback. Oversee commercial engagements and ensure timely project delivery. Maintain high standards of quality and reliability. Coordinate with other teams at Canonical on product architecture and roadmaps. Work remotely with global travel up to twice a year for two weeks. Qualifications Experience with Linux distributions, Debian packaging, and high-performance server hardware. Experience working directly with customers and resolving technical issues. Management or leadership experience with software engineers. Understanding of agile development methodologies.
