By embracing diversity, we believe science can achieve its fullest potential. /p h3THE ROLE /h3 pYou will be working in a multi-disciplinary group, where people with different backgrounds collaborate, each with their own expertise, to support IIT research activity. /p pThe Electronic Design Laboratory Directorate manages the design of electronic systems, in particular FPGA-based systems for applicability in scientific research and is coordinated by Marco Crepaldi. /p pWithin the team, your main responsibilities will be: /p ul liDesign of FPGA hardware. /li liManagement of the FPGA designs of the laboratory, including extensive documentation on the generated digital circuits, systems and block designs. /li liManagement of various projects involving FPGAs, encompassing communication with the research lines, coordination and interfacing with the EDL group hardware and software engineers to achieve the design activity. /li /ul h3ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS /h3 ul liA master’s or bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or a similar discipline. /li liDocumented experience in the design of FPGA systems, for interfacing custom hardware blocks, through standard or custom bus interconnection systems with hardcoded ARM/RISC-V cores. /li liExcellent knowledge of VHDL and Verilog. /li liGood knowledge of the English language. /li liFamiliarity with GitHub/Gitlab versioning systems. /li liStrong focus on stakeholder needs and expectations, providing the expected design outputs, documentation and related activities. /li /ul h3ADDITIONAL SKILLS /h3 ul liA Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering or similar disciplines. /li liExperience in designing and interfacing custom hardware blocks with Xilinx Zynq/Ultrascale FPGA using the AXI interface bus, for connecting hardcoded ARM/RISC-V processors with custom IPs in the FPGA chip. /li liKnowledge of System-Verilog. /li liKnowledge in C/C++ and Python programming languages. /li liKnow-how on Linux operating systems. /li liKnowledge on ASIC digital design flow appreciated. /li liAbility to work in a challenging and international environment. /li liCapacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment. /li liPossess analytical reasoning skills and a growth mindset. /li /ul h3COMPENSATION PACKAGE /h3 ul liA competitive salary, which may include a bonus option depending on your role and contract. /li liPrivate health care coverage depending on your role and contract. /li liTwo days of teleworking per week and flexible working hours are available for certain roles. /li liCandidate holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree who have not been resident in Italy in the last 3 years and move back to Italy to start any work activity, and meet specific requirements, can benefit from a 50% deduction on their income. /li /ul pPlease submit your application using the online form and including a detailed CV and a cover letter. /p pbTo discover more about life at IIT, visit the dedicated section here: /b /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
