PLC Software Engineer (F/M) Location: Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, ItalyMission As part of the development of our entity Abylsen Italy, specialized in IT, Transport (automotive, aeronautics, defense, space and rail), Heavy Industry (metallurgy, steel plant) and Energy, we are looking for aPLC Software Engineer - Automation sectorto integrate our team of consultants and bring your expertise on all our projects.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implementPLC softwarefor both production systems and R&D projects.Configure and customize PLC software on machines supplied to System Logistics customers.Participate in the development of new PLC software modules and programs for innovative R&D projects.Coordinate with the Software Manager and the rest of the team to address issues and develop new functionalities and the Electrical and Mechanical Teams to review layouts and wiring diagrams and solve potential issues.Install and test developed programs during system commissioning, in coordination with the Site Manager and Software Manager.Technical skillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics or Automation Engineering.At least 2 years of relevant experience in heavy industry or a related sector.Excellent knowledge ofSiemens PLC programming(SCL; AWL is a plus).Excellent knowledge ofRockwell PLC programming .Solid understanding of theC programming language .Strong experience inmotion control systems .Good knowledge ofsafety programming (Safe) .Familiarity withindustrial communication protocols .Other informationAvailability for work tripsFluent in English and Italian, both written and spokenSeniority Level Entry levelEmployment type Full-timeJob function IT Services and IT ConsultingNo barrier should hold talent back!
