The Mission Management System department is responsible for the design, development and qualification of Systems/Sub-systems, required to manage, control and monitor the Mission System sensors and equipment (e.g. Radar, EO/IR, Data Link, Armament, EWS, DMG, Mission Console, OPLS, MPDLS, Real Time Video Streaming, Defensive Aids Suite etc.) for both military and civil applications.
The main activities performed are:
- Subsystem Requirements definition starting from Customer Requirements and preliminary architecture definition
- Program Plan definition, progress and monitoring; resource identification, allocation and monitoring.
- SW requirements, design, development, integration and validation of Mission Management Software running on real-time avionic computers;
- SW Configuration Control;
- SW release management;
- Support to the Flight Trials.
Main responsibilities are relevant to the coordination, organization and execution of the following activities performed by the team members:
• Analysis of the input requirements both internal (i.e. System Specification) and external (Contractual Requirements), interacting with Final Customers, other LHD department and Suppliers and generating the Mission Software Requirements.
• Identification of the design solution in line with projects guidelines (budget, plan, constraints, make or buy, etc.);
• Implementation of the above design on time and on schedule,
• Planning, progress and monitoring of the program execution with identification of required corrective actions
• interaction with others internal Departments (System Engineering, CPE, FTE, Pilots, Procurement, etc.), Customers and external suppliers.
• management and lead of external personnel
As a summary, the resource required for this position is fully responsible to deliver the assigned Mission Management System on time, on cost, on quality.
Requirements
Degree in technical field: Electronic Engineering; Telecommunication Engineering; Electrical Engineering, Information Engineering;
• At least 5 years’ experience on Avionic System/Subsystem Design and Development
• Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems with an advanced skill on the latter
• Good knowledge of Object Oriented programming and C++ language
• planning, monitoring and reporting of high complex projects and programs

The following are desirable objectives:
• Experience on software development and software V&V with reference to the DO-178C.
• Experience of Software Architecture, Networking interfaces, Digital Data Transmission, Video Compression and Encoding, AI and ML, Automatic Target Recognition and Sensor Concept
