This role is fundamental in executing the Continuous Improvement Plans for the Site, to achieve its growth and profitability objectives. /p h3Role Description /h3 pThe Operational Excellence Specialist will aid in the implementation the HAPS (Haleon Performance System) principles/tools at the site to deliver the Business Strategy, improve Business Performance (Safety, Quality, Service, Cost), by using a data-driven approach. This role will also be crucial in managing operational ways of working and executing productivity initiatives that align with the site's goals. /p h3Key responsibilities: /h3 ul liLead and facilitate cross-functional improvement projects using Lean tools (Problem Solving, PDCA, SMED, 5S, AM, Centre-Lining, etc.), and conduct daily/weekly performance management meetings to ensure consistent and sustained improvements. /li liRapidly create, improve, and update operational ways of working (WoW) to simplify processes, enhance efficiency, and streamline operations. /li liFoster continuous improvement culture by managing a robust performance system (HAPS) and encouraging teams to propose improvement ideas. /li liIdentify and eliminate all types of waste within operations processes and implement strategies to eliminate them using CI tools. /li liCollect data, implement sustainable measuring processes, and report trends of the main key performance indicators (including OEE % and Yield %) to assess opportunities and track the success of execution. /li liCollaborate with operations stakeholders to embed effective visual performance management boards (PDCA board) and problem-solving methodology. /li liBuilding capabilities of workforce via LSW, SOPs, and Lean tools training: coaching teams and individuals on best practices for operational excellence and continuous improvement. /li liCollaborate in the site implementation efforts of digital tools in support of HAPS. /li liConduct daily GEMBA walks to identify safety, quality, efficiency, and waste opportunities. /li /ul h3Qualifications and skills /h3 ul liEngineering Degree and/or 3 years of experience in Manufacturing environment. /li liRecent experience in FMCG Operations/OpEx type roles would be desirable. /li liKnowledge of minimum safety and quality requirements in the FMCG sector. /li liProven experience in Operational Excellence Systems execution, such as TPM, WCM, Lean, PDCA or Six Sigma project management. /li liProven capability in operations performance improvement (e.g. OEE, waste reduction, productivity), problem-solving methodology, and creating lean, easy-to-follow work standards for operators while adhering to safety and quality requirements. /li liLean Six Sigma Green Belt certification would be desirable. /li liIT Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, OEE % data collection systems. /li liBasic Project Management skills. /li liExcellent interpersonal and networking skills to enable effective and influential internal communication, from shopfloor to Functional Manager level. /li liCapable of drive cross-functional teams, operating in a data-driven manner, team working and constantly prioritize the activities/projects. /li liAbility to train personnel involved in operational areas. /li liGood knowledge of written and spoken English. /li liCommunication: Good oral, written, and presentation skills. /li liAbility to collaborate and relate to multiple Levels in the organization. /li /ul h3Job Posting End Date /h3 h3Equal Opportunities /h3 pHaleon are committed to mobilising our purpose in a way that represents the diverse consumers and communities who rely on our brands every day.
