Power BI Specialist – DAX Language
OneVision Agency is our core IT department with the goal to provide our MSC entities cost-efficiency solutions, improve revenues, and enhance Customer Service and Quality.
Within the OneVision Agency team and under its governance and methodology guidelines, the Power BI Specialist will work closely with teams in Turin, Geneva, and offshore/nearshore locations to design, develop, and maintain interactive data visualizations and reports using Power BI. The candidate will be responsible for implementing advanced data models using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and ensuring that data solutions meet performance, usability, and governance standards. This role reports to the Lead Data & Reporting Manager based in Turin.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
* Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs
* Create and optimize data models using DAX and Power Query (M) language
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across all Power BI solutions
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define KPIs
* Perform data validation, transformation, and integration from multiple sources (e.g. Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Excel)
* Support the automation of reporting processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual efforts
Governance & Optimization
* Maintain version control and documentation of reports and datasets
* Ensure compliance with data governance and visualization best practices
* Identify improvement opportunities in reporting and implement solutions accordingly
* Contribute to the standardization of Power BI development within the department
* Provide training and guidance to business users on Power BI functionalities
* Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure proper data flow and integration
* Troubleshoot performance and data quality issues in dashboards and data models
* Act as a key contributor to OneVision’s data-driven decision-making initiatives
Qualifications and Experience

General :
* 3+ years of experience in a similar BI or reporting role (R)
* Strong experience with Power BI and DAX language (R)
* Proven ability to build insightful, scalable, and user-friendly dashboards (R)
* Analytical thinking and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions (R)
* Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams (R)
* Curious, proactive, and problem-solving attitude (R)
* Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project environments (P)
* Experience in the Maritime Shipping industry (P)
Technical :
* Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service (R)
* DAX & Power Query (M) (R)
* Experience with data modeling and relational databases (R)
* Familiarity with performance tuning and troubleshooting in Power BI (R)
