Job Description
The Head of Stationary Industrial Scanner Factory Automation (SIS-FA) Product Manager is responsible for defining and executing the product marketing strategy across a diverse portfolio. This leadership role ensures alignment of market intelligence, lifecycle governance, go-to-market effectiveness, and organizational development with commercial objectives. You will lead a teamroduct Managers and collaborate cross-functionally to drive business growth, innovation, and competitive positioning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business & Commercial Strategy
2. Set pricing and positioning strategies at the portfolio level to ensure alignment across product lines and customer segments; monitor revenues, margins, and KPIs at the portfolio level; lead corrective action plans to address underperformance;
3. Ensure product strategies are commercially coherent and aligned with corporate goals.
4. Product Lifecycle Governance
5. Craft a clear, compelling vision that aligns with company goals and customer needs.
6. Oversee the full product lifecycle: from concept to end-of-life (EOL), ensuring accountability and milestone discipline.
7. Drive optimization initiatives such as cost reduction, platform leverage, and product rationalization.
8. Market & Competitive Intelligence Leadership
9. Monitor market trends, applications, customer behavior, emerging disruptions, and competitor activity; collect the Voice-of-the-customer by conducting research, interviews, and data analysis to deeply understand pain points and needs.
10. Guide Product Managers with strategic insights to adjust positioning and prioritize opportunities.
11. Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy Oversight & Optimization
12. Define and manage portfolio-level GTM strategies including launch plans, pricing, positioning, and sales enablement.
13. Analyze funnel data, sales performance, and feedback to identify and resolve systemic GTM issues.
14. Lead cross-functional GTM reviews and implement strategies to improve conversion and sales efficiency.
15. Organizational Development & Leadership
16. Build, develop, and lead a high-performing Product Manager team.
17. Ensure robust training, mentorship, and performance reviews are in place.
18. Cross-Functional & Executive Alignment
19. Represent product and portfolio strategy in executive forums.
20. Act as a trusted escalation point for resolving cross-functional challenges affecting product along its entire life.
Key Activities:
* Run portfolio reviews to prioritize investments and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
* Conduct regular GTM effectiveness audits and course-correct based on performance insights.
* Collaborate with R&D, Sales, Finance, Operations and Supply Chain to align execution with strategic goals;
* Oversee product business case development, lifecycle phase-in/out planning, and market readiness
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
Languages: Italian ; English proficient
Experience: 10+ years of experience in Product Marketing or Product Management in a complex B2B environment, out of which 3 in industrial automation industry. Familiarity with SAP, Power Bi, MS Dynamics or equivalent ERP and Business Intelligence and CRM tools
