PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT TEAM LEADER – (Plastic division)

Responsabilities and Role
Lead all product development activities on the allocated projects
1. Have indirect leadership responsibility for all product development projects team members
2. Member of project team coordinated by the Program Manager
3. Develop a schedule of product development activities and track their delivery, reporting out status to the Program Manager and/or others as required
4. Manage and report project resources and expenditure vs. agreed targets, report deviations to PM
5. Support Program Managers through adherence to the product development process and the timely completion of gate deliverables
6. Perform technical risk and issue analysis and management, and ensure appropriate escalation for resolution where needed
7. Lead product configuration and change management activities for the product development team
8. Provide product development impact analysis to Program Manager for customer and/or internal driven changes
9. Lead in the identification and resolution of technical product development issues
10. Provide technical liaison with external/internal customers as first point of contact
11. Support Quality in the analysis of warranty claims
Skills and Requirements
12. Education: degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or similar is preferred
13. 3-5 years work experience in a similar role, preferably in automotive field
14. Previous experience/knowledge of project management techniques and tools
15. Previous experience/knowledge of D-FMEA and P-FMEA tools
16. Previous experience/knowledge of CAE methodologies and tools
17. Previous experience/knowledge of product validation tests and equipment
18. Knowledge of metal components design/materials/manufacturing technologies is preferred
19. Basic knowledge of intellectual property aspects related to product development
20. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
21. Decision-making, communication, influencing and leading skills
22. Teamwork, negotiation
23. Adaptability and stress tolerance
24. Good English language both spoken and written is a must
