Role Overview
The company is seeking an experienced Analog / RFIC Design Engineer to support the design and development of high-performance integrated circuits for advanced optical and communication systems.
You will be part of a fast-paced, international research environment working on state-of-the-art RF, mmWave, and optical IC technologies, contributing to innovation from concept through to validation.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop high-performance Analog / RFICs for optical transceiver applications
* Perform circuit simulation, verification, optimisation, and performance analysis
* Collaborate with system engineers to define specifications and target performance
* Support and guide layout activities, ensuring high-quality physical implementation
* Contribute to feasibility studies and evaluate different design approaches
* Share knowledge, best practices, and contribute to innovation within the team
Requirements
* ~10+ years' experience in Analog / RFIC design
* Strong hands-on experience designing complex, high-performance ICs
* Proficiency with Cadence design tools and full design flow (schematic → layout → test)
* Experience with CMOS / SiGe BiCMOS technologies
* Proven track record delivering IC designs into volume production
* Strong understanding of RF/analog design principles and performance optimisation
* Ability to work in international, cross-functional teams
* Fluent in English
Nice to Have
* PhD or MSc in a relevant engineering field
* Experience in optical or optoelectronic ICs (e.G. TIAs, drivers)
* Exposure to microwave / millimetre-wave design (E-band, W-band, D-band)
* Knowledge of advanced EM, signal integrity, or power integrity
* Experience with antenna systems, phased arrays, or front-end modules
* Familiarity with lab validation and high-frequency measurement techniques
