Job Description Summary
In the role of Shop Operations Supervisor, you will perform the daily operations of the Avenza plant to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. Includes Service Shops. Impacts the quality of your own work and that of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete tasks/duties based on changing work situations. The role is intended to be performed on 3 shifts (Night, Day, Afternoon) and is intended for graduated candidates with proven experience in managing shifts in a production environment.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and supervise the shop operations team, following the directions of the Planning and Manufacturing Engineering Department and Ops Leader
Coordinate consistent and effective shift-to-shift transition
Manage people presence in terms of absence hours within the shift
Verify the completeness and correctness of the documents (cycles, test plan, drawings)
Ensure all team members follow the safety rules (HSE)
Organize talks on HSE issues, quality, and improvement initiatives (i.e., Friday Projects)
Collaborate with quality inspections on resolution of nonconformities
Ensure that tools and equipment used are properly replaced at each workstation
Support operator activities with expertise and facilitate technical discussion with UTOF and Engineering Department
Support line performance KPIs by guaranteeing line accounting (e.g., DL hours, inefficiencies, attendance)
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
High-energy, self‑motivated, willing to take on responsibilities across functions and team boundaries
Strong oral and written communication skills
Fluent in Italian and English
EU work permit
