System Administrator
European Tech Recruit are working closely with a market leading 3D scanning company, based in Bressanone, who are looking for a talented System Administrator to join their team.
In this role you will keep their scanning and compute infrastructure running smoothly, improve configuration standards, and gradually automate what's currently manual. You'll work closely with software and infrastructure engineers but own the day-to-day health of their Linux environment.
Responsibilities as System Administrator :
Debug hardware issues (storage drives, GPUs, memory, networking) and software issues (drivers, containers, internal tools).
Extend and maintain Ansible-based configuration management.
Provide technical support to engineering and operations teams.
Build repeatable deployment processes for new scanning stations.
Contribute to Infrastructure as Code initiatives.
Maintain networking infrastructure across internal and client-deployed environments.
Strong Linux system administration experience (Ubuntu).
Solid networking fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.
Understanding of how application software interacts with infrastructure (GPU drivers, CUDA toolkits, container runtimes, storage mounts).
Driving license, occasional travel to client sites required.
Fluent English.
Ansible or other configuration management tools.
Monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Netdata, Datadog).
Datacenter operations or distributed systems experience.
Terraform, AWS solution architecture.
German or Italian language skills.
