Ph3Job Description /h3 pAs a member of UL Solutions' Energy Storage Advisory team within the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Renewables business, the Senior Project Manager provides technical and commercial due diligence support for Independent Engineering (IE) and Technical Advisory (TA) projects across energy storage, solar + storage, and hybrid renewable portfolios. /p pThis position supports project financing, sales, and acquisition technical due diligence (TDD) transactions by evaluating project contracts, financial models, technical designs, and documentation to assess risk, performance, and bankability. The Senior Project Engineer integrates input from multidisciplinary teams to deliver consistent, high-quality advisory reports for clients that include lenders, developers, and investors. /p pThe ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with commercial awareness and communication skills. The candidate engages directly with clients, guiding internal contributors, and helping shape UL Solutions' technical advisory practice through mentorship, thought leadership, and business development participation. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liPerform and lead technical due-diligence reviews for energy storage and solar + storage hybrid projects supporting financing, acquisition, and development activities. /li liReview and interpret project contracts-including EPC, BSA, interconnection, PPA, OM, LTSA and major supply agreements-to identify technical and commercial risks. /li liAnalyze and validate financial models, assessing CAPEX, OPEX, warranties, degradation, performance assumptions, and other key financial drivers. /li liEvaluate project energy use cases, operating profiles, and dispatch strategies to ensure alignment with technical capabilities and market conditions. /li liCompile and complete TDD reports, summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations to ensure clarity, quality, and consistency. /li liIntegrate multidisciplinary input (engineering, financial, and environmental) to ensure a coherent and technically sound final deliverable. /li liCollaborate with Project Managers to align technical work with project scope, schedule, and budget, supporting on-time and on-budget delivery. /li liEngage directly with clients, lenders, and developers, presenting technical results, responding to comments, and maintaining professional client relationships. /li liIdentify and communicate project risks and mitigation strategies, applying lessons learned and best practices. /li liSupport business development, including supporting proposal preparation and strategic client outreach. /li liRepresent UL Solutions externally at conferences and industry events, contributing to thought leadership within the renewables sector. /li liMentor junior staff and provide guidance to peers across disciplines to strengthen technical and commercial capabilities within the organization. /li liContribute to continuous improvement of internal tools, templates, and methodologies for due-diligence and advisory services. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred. /li liMinimum of 8 years of experience in renewable energy, energy storage, or related industries, preferably within a technical advisory, developer, or lender environment. /li liProven experience performing contract and financial-model reviews for energy infrastructure projects. /li liStrong understanding of project finance concepts, risk assessment, and bankability considerations. /li liDemonstrated ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple concurrent projects. /li liExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. /li liStrong commercial acumen and understanding of how technical and contractual factors influence project economics. /li liProven client-facing delivery experience and comfort interacting with senior stakeholders. /li liAbility and willingness to mentor junior staff and share expertise across the organization. /li liFamiliarity with market, policy, and regulatory trends influencing the European energy storage sector. /li liAbility to work in a team environmental and successfully manage multiple complicated projects. /li liLanguage Skills : English is a must, other language skills (Polish, Spanish, Italian, German) will be of high interest. /li liAdvanced Microsoft Office user (Word, Excel) and good predisposition for new technologies and digital solutions. /li liKnowledge on python, SCADA and cybersecurity would be a plus /li /ul pThe successful candidate will be a self-starter, with a can-do spirit and willingness to work hard in a team environment to achieve shared success. /p h3What we offer: /h3 ul liPermanent contract with a flexible weekly schedule /li liCompetitive salary based on experience + annual bonus (10%) /li liWorking on local and international projects alongside our UL experts. /li liMatrix organization where you will be able to collaborate with different departments and develop new skill sets /li liAccess to our UL University to keep on learning and growing your personal career /li liEmployee referral scheme /li /ul h3What you'll experience working for ULS: /h3 pUL Solutions has been pioneering change since 1894 and we're still leading the way.
