We are looking for a Digital Twin Researcher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting high‑quality applied research in the areas of Multiphysics simulations, multi-disciplinary optimisation (MDO), enabling technologies and tools for deploying Digital Twin technologies, simulation workflow automation and HPC.
In particular, we are looking for a candidate with expertise in any or more of the following areas:
Electromagnetic Simulations (EM) – low frequency and high frequency
Radar Cross Section simulations (RCS)
Communication blackout simulations
Lighting impact assessment
Smart Radar Antenna Design and Simulation
Metamaterials
Model‑based system engineering (MBSE)
Thermal management for electronic devices
Multiphysics simulations
Multi‑disciplinary optimisation (MDO)
Simulation workflow parametrisation, automation, and parallelisation
Qualifications:
Master or PhD degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronics or Computer Science.
Expert seniority.
Modeling and simulation background in aerospace, mechanical or electronic engineering.
Knowledge of multiphysics simulations using high‑fidelity methods (FVM, DGFEM, FEM, LBM, SPH, CSM, EM, CHT, CFD, FDTD, SBR and so on).
Knowledge of commercial Multiphysics simulation software (e.g. Ansys, Altair, Dassault Systemes CST Studio Suite, icepack, ANSA Beta CAE, etc).
Knowledge of open‑source Multiphysics simulation software (e.g. OpenFOAM, OpenEMS, Meep, RaytrAMP, ELMER, Kratos, Firedrake/PETSC, NEC2, Netgen/NGSolve, etc).
Knowledge of the MBSE and digital twin enabling technologies (e.g. Matlab‑Simulink/Simscape, Simcenter Amesim, Modelica, Ansys Twin Builder, Altair Digital Twin).
Experience with Linux Operating System.
Experience using HPC infrastructures.
Simulation skills in the areas of electromagnetic simulations and related Multiphysics (thermal, structural dynamics, vibration, etc.).
Knowledge of radar cross section simulations using asymptotic and SBR solvers.
Language Skills:
Advanced English proficiency (B2–C1 level).
Soft Skills:
Problem solving.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Ability to present complex information to non‑technical stakeholders.
Ability to autonomously manage research projects.
Flexibility.
Other Requirements:
Willingness to travel occasionally within the national territory.
