Overview
Transport Coordinator in Borgo San Giovanni.
This key position plays a central role in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods for major FMCG and Consumer Electronics clients.
What You'll Do
Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of Transport Planners
Ensure adherence to operational best practices, safety regulations, and service level agreements (SLAs).
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Manage and optimize daily departures, including load planning and scheduling.
Oversee the efficient flow of goods;
Guarantee delivery performance targets are consistently achieved and maintained.
Manage daily relationships and performance of external transport providers
Monitor carrier KPIs (quality, timeliness, cost) and initiate corrective actions when needed.
Participate in periodic business reviews, performance assessments, and volume allocation meetings
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience (3+ years) in transport coordination
Experience in managing performance metrics (KPI, SLA).
Strong knowledge of transport planning tools, TMS systems, and operational dashboards.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, basic data analysis).
Solid understanding of national transport regulations, safety standards, and compliance.
Excellent communication, conflict-management, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
Proficient in English (written and spoken).
