Our goal is simple: to offer the world\'s greatest selection of products and services with the world\'s best customer experience. /ppWe are seeking an Operations Manager to lead one of our Delivery Stations. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liManage an environment concerning the delivery of Amazon orders direct to customers, handling rising volume and complexity on a 24/7 basis /li liManage day-to-day relationships with multiple Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) /li liDrive operational goals and metrics for the Delivery Station and communicate the vision to the team /li liPresent operational metrics regularly to the senior leadership team /li liProblem-solve to close gaps between performance and goals /li liHire and develop top talent, including creating and executing a talent plan for the site (talent acquisition, performance and career management, learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement) /li liCollaborate with key business partners such as Transport Sortation, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES and Engineering /li /ul h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liLead an operation for +70k packages, overseeing On-The-Road execution with DSPs and Drivers on route, and develop strategies to streamline these operations /li liLead a team of 7 managers and +200 associates, owning complex problem solving, decision-making, and escalations /li liFoster a culture of safety; protect service levels and monitor and improve driver and associate performance /li liAssemble the right team, define the tracking strategy, and control the operation to ensure timely and successful Last Mile delivery /li /ul h3A day in the life /h3 pThis manager is responsible for key metrics including Safety Metrics, On-The-Road Metrics, Under-The-Roof Metrics, and Cost Metrics, including lead savings projects. /p h3About the team /h3 pResponsible for goals in an area where the strategy may not yet be defined. Establishes workflows, SLAs, and operational excellence mechanisms at the site. Sets the standard for effective Delivery Station management and leverages industry practices and technologies. Translates business priorities and customer needs into solutions, with strong business acumen and finance collaboration for cost-benefit analyses. Brings Operations perspective to decision making and maintains broad experience across functional and technical areas related to large-scale operations. /p h3BASIC QUALIFICATIONS /h3 ul liBachelor\'s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience /li liAbility to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays /li li6+ years of general experience /li liSolid understanding/background in Last mile operations /li liEnglish and Spanish fluency /li li6+ years as a people manager /li /ul h3PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS /h3 ul liMBA /li liSolid experience implementing Lean Manufacturing methodology /li li2+ years managing projects End-to-End for a specific Site/Building /li /ul pOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
