We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Outbound Logistics Supervisor to join our Operations team in Italy.
Responsibilities
Operations & Coordination
* Plan and coordinate daily transportation activities with external carriers
* Manage customer bookings and ensure smooth execution of shipments
* Monitor deliveries to warehouses and end customers, ensuring on-time performance
* Oversee unloading operations and resolve any operational issues
* Optimize shipment consolidation and truck utilization to improve efficiency
* Proactively handle changes in volumes, capacity constraints, and unexpected challenges
Performance & Reporting
* Track and analyze key KPIs (on-time delivery, lead time, cost efficiency, etc.)
* Monitor transportation schedules and ensure compliance with timelines
* Identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective action
* Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and customer experience
* Support the implementation of new services, systems, and operational solutions
* Contribute to optimization initiatives across transportation and supply chain activities
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a scientific or logistics-related field), or equivalent experience
* At least 1 year of experience in transport planning, freight forwarding, or logistics operations
* Fluency in English and Italian
* Customer-focused with a strong sense of responsibility
* A team player who thrives in a collaborative, multicultural environment
* Calm under pressure, with strong problem-solving skillsOrganized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
* Positive, proactive, and eager to drive improvements
Nice to Have
* Knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and supply chain processes
