Short Intro and About the Job
For our Supply Chain division in Milan we are looking for a new intern in our Demand Planning Team. During your experience you’ll be part of a young and dynamic team, you’ll get in touch with all company’s departments and you’ll contribute to the achievements of your team. Your Role: You’ll collaborate with several company’s departments to develop your analytical skills and to discover competitive dynamics of dairy & ambient products’ market. You’ll support the Customer Service team on day‑by‑day activities and projects. In details, you'll be accountable to:
* Preparing short and long‑term forecast based on historical data and input from top‑line team (sales, mktg, category).
* Managing forecast activities using IBP the tool (masterdata, promo event, phase‑in/phase‑out product).
* Analyzing the output of the tool in order to identify the most appropriate statistical forecasting algorithm.
* Assuring high level of forecast accuracy to balance between zero wastes and high customer service level.
* Interfacing with supply planning dept in order to anticipate issue/change in forecasting trend that can affect the service and waste performance.
* Preparing and animating all the reporting of the demand planning team, in order to support daily activities.
* Collaborating with financial dept in order to support the GPS process.
* Analyze data, look for insights, fuel the TopLine team with growth generating ideas.
About You
To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role, we believe you need to have:
* Master’s degree in Economics or Management Engineering or similar.
* Problem‑solving and entrepreneurial thinking.
* Structured and analytical way of working.
* Relational skills and flexibility.
* SAP Knowledge will be a plus.
* Excel and Power Point knowledge.
* Fluent in English.
