Barilla Group is seeking students or recent graduates in Food Technology, Chemistry, or related fields with a strong interest in emulsion technology to join our Global Condiments Technology & Process Development Team based in Parma.

Responsibilities

Research and development of: basil pretreatments (blanching, concentration, semi‑finished blends), new technologies and processes for preparing pestos (e.g., continuous production lines), alternative technologies to stabilise pestos and/or sauces (thermal and/or non‑thermal technologies), new functional ingredients for stabilising and emulsifying pestos/creams

Literature reviews

Pilot trials using current and new technologies

Pilot trials with new functional ingredients

Support for industrial‑scale trials

Requirements

Degree in Food Technology, Emulsion Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, or a closely related discipline;

Proficiency in PowerPoint;

Strong teamwork skills.

What we offer

6‑month internship, tempo pieno (40 hours per week), based in Parma.

Internship salary + relocation allowance if you live more than 50 km from our Parma office.
