We're looking for a Quality & Process Engineer to join our distribution center in Legnano, you'll report directly to the Distribution Center Manager. You'll be responsible for standardization of Splicing and distribution processes, development of Splicing parameters, optimization of distribution, Quality management, with a special focus on the handrail splicing process.
You Will Be Responsible For
Process Engineering
* Process improvements & investment in our Elevator Escalator product line and splicing technology (HRL handling and logistic methodology, End preparation, Endless loop production)
* Develop and maintain educational materials for splicing training.
* Prepare internal and external documentation for handrail splicing, including:
* HRL handling and logistics methodology
* End preparation procedures
* Endless loop production protocols
* Certification management for splicing technicians
* Reducing production costs while delivering a high-quality product
* Daily communication and collaboration with Handrail Splicing operators
Quality Management
* Manage quality system, including documents, working instructions and audits.
* Investigation and resolution of customer complaints.
* Manage procedures to control the flow of non-conforming goods, disposal of non-conforming products and documents the final disposition, this includes a daily check of the hold area.
* Performs all incoming inspections and tests specified according to procedures.
* Manage Quality audits
* Issue Certificates of Quality and SPC charts as requested
* Execute special projects as assigned.
* Contribute to team efforts and cross-functional initiatives.
You Are the Right Fit If You Have/are
* Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent
* Proven experience in a similar position
* Proven knowledge of efficiency-enhancing principles/tools (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
* Proven ability in conducting Quality audits in an ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 accredited manufacturing company.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, communication, and presentation capability.
* Highly self-motivated, with a keen, hands-on approach.
* willingness to travel among EMEA territory for business purposes within the Elevator & Escalator BU in Europe
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office, SAP.
* Fluent English, knowledge of other languages will be considered as a plus.
