This role is designed for academic leaders who prefer to design the infrastructure rather than critique it from the sidelines. You possess the subject expertise to recognize excellence in learning experiences, the discipline to codify that understanding into measurable standards and AI-enabled quality assurance, and the pragmatism to respond to imperfect data without delay. Student improvement is your ultimate measure, and you welcome being evaluated on that basis.
2 Hour Learning pursues an objective the wider software and education sectors seldom undertake. Teachers, textbooks, and the familiar scaffolding of conventional pedagogy are absent. AI serves as the core operating framework. In this capacity, you will leverage it to produce and refine learning materials, architect interventions, oversee quality, and advance the platform. The tempo resembles high-stakes technology, consulting, or finance environments more than traditional schooling, and the reward is full accountability for student performance outcomes in your subject across multiple locations.
This position involves leading a functional area. You will develop AI-driven enhancements to the learning ecosystem, deploy targeted interventions based on student performance indicators, produce evidence-backed decision documentation, and guide a team toward explicit benchmarks anchored in MAP, AP, SAT, and ISEE scores. You will also collaborate closely with product, engineering, and data science teams to shape the platform’s evolution. It suits someone who instinctively turns to AI, independently handles analytical tasks, delivers under uncertainty, and assumes complete ownership of outcomes. It will not suit those who favor consensus-driven timelines, minimal accountability, or reliance on established methodologies.
You will serve as a central leader within the academics organization, wielding genuine authority over your subject’s performance trajectory and the broader learning system’s advancement. Your colleagues will depend on your standards, your expertise, and your capacity to translate student data into actionable steps. If that prospect feels motivating rather than daunting, this role is likely designed for you.
What You Will Be Doing
* Learning Ecosystem Enhancements — AI-produced refinements to K–12 subject-specific learning environments spanning content, adaptive learning paths, and student interventions, shaped by student input, performance analytics, standardized assessments, and coaching observations.
* Data-Driven Academic Interventions — Focused intervention strategies for underperforming students or groups, informed by MAP, AP, SAT, ISEE, and comparable achievement metrics.
* Student Performance Decision Records — Scalable, evidence-grounded decisions that document actions taken to enhance student outcomes, backed by dashboards, analytical reports, support tickets, surveys, coaching conversations, and assessment results.
* Learning Ecosystem Improvement Specs — Execution-ready directives for product, engineering, and data science teams, detailing problem definitions, corroborating evidence, anticipated student outcomes, and success criteria.
What You Won’t Be Doing
* Repackaging traditional education in an AI wrapper. This isn’t about replicating classroom instruction via screens – we’re fundamentally reimagining learning from the ground up.
* Analyzing data in isolation. You’ll be expected to regularly engage with K-12 students, valuing their feedback as essential input from our paying customers.
* Waiting for consensus to push boundaries. You’ll champion a bold vision and rally others around data-driven results.
* Sticking to conventional methods. You’ll be free to experiment with innovative approaches to motivation, assessment, and instruction.
* Fearing AI’s impact on education. Here, you’ll harness AI as an exciting tool to revolutionize learning, not as a threat to be mitigated.

* Demonstrated experience using AI tools as part of day-to-day professional workflows, and willingness to rely on AI extensively to improve academic and operational outcomes.
