Overview
Who we are: Seares is a Tuscany-based company founded in 2018, with the goal to change how floating bodies moor and anchor across the seas. We produce the hydraulic and mechatronic mooring system Seadamp. Seares aims to be a key partner in ports and marinas digital transition, the offshore anchoring industry, and Yacht and Superyacht mooring.
Responsibilities
* Execute mechanical development and create technical documentation (Specifications, Drawings, BoM, Test plans, etc.).
* Interface with the technical activities of product and process development, internally and with partners/suppliers as needed.
* Support and provide engineering expertise to other departments; work in synergy with electronic engineers to develop mechatronic products.
* Work in cross-functional teams with program managers, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and R&D teams; interface with clients at a global level.
* Apply a problem-solving attitude to engineering challenges.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics (preferred), Mechanical, Aeronautical, Naval Engineering
* 3-5 years of experience in mechanical system design and development
* Expert proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred) – 3D modeling, CAM generation, PDM management, FEM/CFD simulations
* Experience in FMEA / Risk Analysis and Design Review
* Professional fluency in both Italian and English
* Willingness to relocate to the Livorno area for full-time production oversight
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in marine or offshore applications
* Experience with industrial automation, sensors, hydraulics and control systems
* Experience in CAE modeling (FEM, dynamic models, etc.)
* Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (ProfiNET, EtherCAT, CanOpen)
* Knowledge of IoT solutions for remote monitoring and control
* International work experience or collaboration with global teams
* Familiarity with robotics and vision systems integration
* Master’s degree is preferred
Compensation and Benefits
* Base Salary : RAL based on experience + Variable Component; Level 5 CCNL Metalmeccanici CONFAPI. Permanent contract with full CCNL protections.
