We are seeking for an experienced leader to join our team of Technical Performance in order to implement and execute Vetropack business strategy and achieve best in class performance in Cold End (inspection and packaging processes) areas across the Vetropack group.As Group Inspection Packaging Performance Manager you will play a key role in ensuring that the position of Vetropack production is the benchmark in European glass industry in terms of safety, sustainability, quality, innovation, and productivity; and meeting customer expectations through continuous improvement of the production processes.Reporting directly to Technical Performance Director. No direct reports.Key tasks :Professional tasks (QUALITY, PRODUCTIVITY, WASTE, SUSTAINAIBLITY)Continuously analyse, optimize and standardize inspection and packaging processes in cold end areas across the group in order to improve operational safety and effectiveness, product quality and external customer satisfaction at the lowest cost;Actively drive performance improvement programs across the group to achieve the strategic goals;Collaborate with Cold End managers and other group and local production specialists across the group in a cross-functional organization to achieve the strategic goals;Define, analyse, interpret and communicate suitable KPIs to assess effectiveness of the processes in the plants;Develop operational excellence / continuous improvement culture within the organization;Coordinate and complete projects on time and within budget. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize project progress. Prepare executive level project reports;Plan and take-over the responsibility for the budget and resources in the area of responsibility;Develop training programs for the inspection and packaging processes and ensure best practice exchange within the organization;Perform regular audits of inspection and packaging processes across the group and ensure that the necessary standards are implemented;Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as all other company policies and procedures;Perform administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the departments including the selection and development of employees, coordinate production scheduling, salary administration, budgets, cost control, and effective employee and union relations;Support definition and standardization of production facilities and processesCollaborate with all other departments to ensure that the position of Vetropack production is the benchmark in European glass industry in terms of safety, sustainability, quality, innovation and productivity;Maintain regular contact and experience exchange with suppliers and other container glass manufacturersTo lead subordinated employees in compliance with Vetropack management policiesTo lead in a matrix organization while working closely with production sitesTo translate business strategy and company goals into relevant departmental goals and KPIsTo develop, build and practice culture of engagement and continuous improvementTo inspire and motivate others to perform well and go the extra mileTo build a strong internal and external networkTo issue technical instructions to Cold End Managers of all Vetropack plantsThe Successful CandidateAble to translate business strategy and company goals into relevant departmental goals and KPIsHas a deeper understanding of continuous improvement methodologies with an equivalent qualification / certification (Six Sigma certification etc.)Able to build a successful team, supporting development, coaching and assessing skills to identify strengths and gaps, as well as plans to bridge the gapsCan act as a change agent able to communicate effectively, listen and challenge the status quoCan lead or coordinate performance improvement programs and projects in matrix organization, with project team located across the group, with budgetary / cost reporting responsibilityHas opportunity minded and long term thinkingAble to drive a high level executionRequirementsHigher technical or mechanical education5 years+ of experience in glass industry in the Cold End area3 years+ in the project management of the similar areaMS office, CAD, MES (manufacturing execution system) is a must6Sigma, Continuous Improvement Skills, Quality Management in general as advantageWillingness to travel from 50% of working timeEnglish level C1 minimum in spoken and written language.
