Experteer Overview
In this role you will design, build and operate backend services that power consumer features at scale. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams to drive engagement and transaction volume, using a modern stack and cloud infrastructure. You will tackle mission‑critical problems, from BNPL experiences to top‑ups, while shaping reliable, scalable systems for millions of users. You’ll leverage AI‑assisted tooling to speed up delivery and improve engineering efficiency, contributing to a high‑performing engineering culture.
Retribuzione / Benefits
* Design, build, test, and operate mission‑critical consumer features end‑to‑end using Java, Spring Boot and PostgreSQL
* Develop and maintain core user functionalities such as BNPL (Pay in 3), Gift Cards, Mobile Top‑ups, and Personal IBAN/SCT wire transfers
* Improve backend logic and reliability of budget mechanisms and scheduled top‑ups for scalable payments
* Own AWS‑based infrastructure (EC2/ECS, S3, Lambda, Kinesis) and drive cross‑service architectural improvements
* Leverage AI tools to write and optimize code, speed up root cause analysis, and generate documentation
* Collaborate with Product and UX/UI teams; contribute to code reviews, post‑mortems and refactoring to uphold engineering best practices
* Debug complex service issues, investigate production incidents, and share learnings to improve system health
Responsabilità
* 3+ years of backend engineering experience in fast‑paced environments with scalable microservices
* Strong Java & Spring Boot expertise
* Experience with cloud environments (AWS preferred) and relational databases
* Focus on performance, reliability and clean business logic
* Strong cross‑functional collaboration and clear communication (technical & non‑technical)
* Fluent in English; interest in FinTech or startup environments
