Copernicus Contributing Missions (CCM) Data Provisioning Officer in the ESA and TPM Ground Segment Section, ESA Ground Segment and Data Management Division, Earth Observation Mission Management and Ground Segment Department, Directorate of Earth Observation Programmes. In the framework of the EU Copernicus Programme, ESA is responsible for the systematic, on-demand rapid provisioning of Earth Observation data acquired by the Copernicus Contributing Missions – CCM (including institutional and commercial missions) to authorized users, notably the Copernicus Services, HorizonEurope projects and other end users of the European Commission; this responsibility is implemented through:
Selected for this position you will be responsible for the provision of the CCM data solutions according to user needs and for ensuring the availability, reliability and security of the interface layer between the CCM data provider systems and the ESA‑managed data access services.
You will functionally report to the ESA EO Third‑Party Mission Manager and work in close collaboration with the ESA team involved in the CCM activities.

A master’s in a relevant engineering subject and/or Earth science is required for this post together with 5 years of relevant professional experience.

In principle, recruitment will be within the advertised grade band (A2‑A4). However, if the selected candidate has less than four years of relevant professional experience following the completion of the master’s degree, the position may be filled at A1 level. During the recruitment process, the Agency may request applicants to undergo selection tests. Additionally, successful candidates will need to undergo basic screening before appointment, which will be conducted by an external background screening service, in compliance with the European Space Agency's security procedures.
