**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Cold Section Sub System Owner to join our team. As a key member of the Military Design Engineering section, you will be responsible for managing the design and development of complex systems.
About the Role:
In this critical position, you will work closely with the Italian Military customer, engine development partners, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient project execution.
You will be responsible for leading the NPI process for the Sub System, coordinating with various engineering organizations to establish efficient design activities, and providing critical support for certification tests definition and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prime Engineering Responsible: Oversee the NPI execution for the Sub System through Avio Aero's NPI process.
* Formal Sub System Development Reviews: Provide prime engineering support to formal Sub System development reviews.
* Sub System Design Ownership: Own the Sub System design and coordinate relevant design teams for proper component integration and standard work application.
* Requirements Flow Down: Ensure proper requirements flow down from the sub system level to the component level.
* Design Activity Coordination: Establish efficient coordination of design activities among different engineering organizations.
* Engineering Support: Provide all required engineering support to sub system engineering and certification tests definition, tests plan, tests rig design-procurement-setup, tests execution, and sub system final certification.
Required Qualifications:
* A Master's degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or related fields from an accredited university.
* Previous experience in technical leadership and/or program management skills.
* Previous experience in mechanical design and baseline use of CAD tools (Unigraphix).
* Excellent accountability/collaboration and interpersonal/communication skills.
* Technical program management and execution/coordination skills.
* External technical relationship experience.
* Good execution/coordination skills.
* Availability to business travel.
* Fluent knowledge of Italian and English languages.
* Work visa, in accordance with local regulations.
Desired Characteristics:
* Previous Sub System or relevant complex system ownership experience.
* Previous experience in requirements management and related tools.
* Experience in aero-engines component or module design.
* Previous experience in cost and value engineering.
* Advanced Unigraphics CAD tool expertise.
