Role Overview We’re seeking a skilled
Backend Developer
with strong experience in
Node.js
,
Python
, and a deep understanding of
TypeScript
and
JavaScript
. You’ll be part of a close-knit product team contributing to the design, development, and scaling of backend services that support next-gen medical data platforms. This is a great opportunity for a backend engineer based in or near Rome who enjoys working on meaningful products and is comfortable in a hybrid setup (2 days per week in the office).
Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using
Node.js
and
Python Work closely with frontend developers, data scientists, and product managers to integrate services Ensure high code quality, performance, and security standards Troubleshoot and debug complex systems Contribute to architectural decisions and technical discussions
Requirements: 3–5 years
of professional experience as a backend developer Strong hands-on experience with both
Node.js
and
Python Deep understanding of
TypeScript
and
JavaScript Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database interactions Based in or near
Rome
, with the ability to work in-office
2 days per week Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Strong communication skills (Italian or English)
Nice to Have: Experience in health-tech or data-driven applications Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) Background in AI/ML environments
