GRS Recruitment is partnering with a prestigious company in the Hospitality sector, and we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Controller to join the dynamic finance team in Nicosia. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional with a strong audit background and experience in fast-paced environments to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Financial Controller with group reporting, consolidations, and financial analysis, while gaining exposure to broader finance operations. If you feel you have the necessary skills, please apply today for this Nicosia based role. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
1. Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with IFRS.
2. Assist with group consolidations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple entities.
3. Collaborate with auditors and support the year-end audit process.
4. Contribute to the development and improvement of internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting processes.
5. Provide analysis and insights to management to support strategic and operational decision-making.
6. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and timely reporting.
7. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
8. Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and system implementations as required.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
9. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
10. Minimum 2 years’ experience in an audit firm, ideally within a Big 4 or mid-tier environment.
11. Proven experience in a fast-paced or multinational environment.
12. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and group consolidation principles.
13. Advanced Excel and financial systems skills (experience with ERP systems is a plus).
14. Fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage.
15. Excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
16. Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.
