Job Description
We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy. The role focuses on production management, ensuring timely delivery of products with required efficiency and quality; on financial management including budgeting and controlling; and on meeting safety, environmental and quality‑system requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participates in production capacity planning and contributes to production planning.
- Manages production and monitors fulfillment of production efficiency, delivery quality, delivery time, safety at work and other key performance indicators.
- Uses the MRP system to ensure transparency and up‑to‑date production information.
- Manages human resources in accordance with the production plan and in cooperation with HR.
- Prepares action plans and monitors implementation based on performance indicators, tactical and strategic plans; reports regularly.
- Optimises production operations to achieve maximum efficiency and cost management while complying with quality and safety requirements.
- Co‑ordinates internal logistics activities.
- Creates the budget and financial plans for the production unit and identifies improvement, investment and saving projects.
- Monitors departmental needs and controls costs.
- Establishes a standard working environment, continuously improving working conditions and overall employee satisfaction.
- Implements new projects, products or processes using lean manufacturing principles, including 5S.
- Manages sorting and repair operations per quality instructions, engineering or other stakeholder requirements.
- Supports human resources development in line with departmental and corporate strategic goals.
- Ensures regular communication within the department and with other departments of the division.
- Performs all other activities related to the agreed type of work as instructed by the superior.
- Follows the procedures, rules and principles of the integrated management system and complies with international trade regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High‑school diploma in a technical field.
- 3–4 years of experience in a similar supervisory position.
- Intermediate English language skills.
- Knowledge of production management fundamentals and continuous improvement principles.
- Experience with MRP systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Strong presentation and reporting skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High level of safety consciousness and familiarity with local safety standards and regulations.
- Experience with Oracle is beneficial.
- Flexibility, decision‑making ability, willingness to take risks, creativity, systematic approach and leadership skills.
