We are looking for an Embedded Hardware Design Engineer.

What you will do:

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and testing electronics for particle counting instrumentation. Your work will primarily focus on new product development, while also supporting sustaining engineering tasks as needed.

You will apply and expand a broad range of electronic engineering skills, including embedded microprocessor design, sensor circuitry, DC/DC converters, and various supporting electronics. As part of a cross-functional project team, you will contribute to the development of next-generation particle counters, working at the cutting edge of opto-mechanical and electronic sensing technologies.

You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical and firmware engineers, supply chain specialists, production engineers, service technicians, and product line managers.

Additionally, you will be responsible for producing technical documentation such as design specifications, test reports, and other relevant engineering documents as required.

Key Requirements:

* Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
* 2 + of experience in electronic hardware design.
* Proficiency with PCBA design, bring up, and test processes.
* Experience with microprocessor circuitry design and peripherals such as FLASH memory, dynamic ram, other interface chips.
* Experience with Siemens Xpedition is a plus
* Design experience with Xilinx Zynq SOC, i.MX6 and similar designs.
* Experience designing and simulating FPGAs and SOCs using Verilog.
* A solid understanding of low noise analog, high speed digital, and EMC signal integrity.
* Experience with basic analog circuit design, such as op amp circuits, and signal conditioning for ADC and DACs.
* Experience using analog circuit simulators such as SPICE.
* Ability to use standard electronic test equipment such as DVMs, oscilloscopes and function generators to test and troubleshoot boards.
* Experience interfacing DDR memory, SPI, I2C, and USB peripheral chips.
* Experience with DC/DC converter designs, and power sequencing circuitry.
* Basic programming experience and working knowledge of Python, Labview, C, and/or C++.
* Ability to write clear and concise reports, summarize data and create technical documents.
