IT Software Developer is responsible for delivering software/IT solutions to the business side of the organization. They design, maintain, and implement database management systems, computer applications, and operating systems; they also analyze organizational software needs, devise solutions, and maintain PC software and hardware systems.
Summary of responsibilities:
* Integrate and develop software according to business needs.
* Manage and maintain software currently in use in the Terminal.
* Make changes in software programs based on end-user demands.
* Follow updates in software systems and update accordingly.
* Ensure IT systems work without interruption and provide technical support to end-users during terminal operating hours, including night and holiday support when required.
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (preferred).
* 5 years of professional experience as an IT Software Developer.
Technical Skills & Knowledge Required:
* Proficiency in one or more object-oriented languages (Java, Python).
* Good knowledge of relational database management and backend solutions.
* Experience with MS, Linux, VMware administration tools.
* Proficiency in SQL language.
* Knowledge of Docker virtualization.
* Preferred skills include knowledge in EDI, Kubernetes, integration software, ETL, messaging systems (JMS, Kafka).
Behavioral Competences:
* Ability to work well with others (team building).
* Problem-solving skills.
Language Requirements:
* Intermediate spoken English.
