PJob DescriptionJob Description /ppThe Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for the management and execution of all aspects while ensuring that value is created for our customers, associates, and Sunland. /ppstrongDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: /strong /ppDevelop and manage team deliverables that exceed customer, financial and leadership initiatives. /ppEnsure through succession planning that associate bench strength and staffing levels is in place to successfully meet and exceed our operational, customer, associates and organizational long-term commitments. /ppstrongSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: /strong Supervisors, Team Leads, Non-exempt Associates /ppstrongKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: /strong /pulliManaged a stand-alone distribution center with 35 full-time associates and a limited number of temps during peak season and at least two direct reports (supervisors). /liliP L responsibility, familiar with AP, invoicing, etc. /liliKnowledge of Six Sigma methodology, process improvement, etc. /liliExperience tracking metrics, measuring productivity, etc. /liliExtensive knowledge of OSHA and ISO quality management systems /liliAbility to manage a multi-shift operation /liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills /liliProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite /liliProven leadership in similar operations /liliStrong analytical and financial skills /liliMaintain a high level of confidentiality /liliDetailed and goal oriented /liliThe position interacts with customers, vendors, and employees and reports directly to the Site Manager. /li /ulpstrongEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: /strong /pulliBachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain management, business or related field. /liliMinimum of 7 years’ experience in supervision/management of a fast-paced logistics/warehousing/distribution operation. /liliHands on knowledge of WMS or other systems (Infor, Red Prairie, Manhattan, etc.) /li /ulpstrongCERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: /strong /pulliPossess or have ability to become forklift certified /li /ulpstrongSKILLS: /strong /ppAbility to read and interpret documents, including protocols, standard operating procedures, customer orders, and pick tickets. /ppstrongREASONING ABILITY: /strong /ppAble to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. /ppstrongPHYSICAL DEMANDS: /strong /ppThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
