HSE Senior Specialist (focus O&M) - Italy, EMEA, RE Department Reporting to: Sr. Manager Global Health & Safety Operations Responsibilities Act as delegato della sicurezza on behalf of the employer for O&M business units. Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, with regular reviews and updates. Document, investigate, and implement improvements for all incidents and accidents. Conduct safety inspections, manage fire drills and alarms, risk assessments, and lone working procedures. Support investigations into critical H&S issues and facilitate solutions. Engage engineering and procurement teams in supplier evaluation and develop H&S plans for projects and suppliers. Perform risk and job hazard assessments supporting site activities. Ensure proper training and awareness of H&S requirements among personnel. Prepare statistical data to analyze H&S trends. Review and audit contractor H&S programs, ensuring compliance with company standards. Assist project teams with technical responses on H&S issues and support customer/owner satisfaction initiatives. Develop robust H&S programs supporting O&M operations of solar and battery storage plants. Document and control processes, manage NCR reporting, and support Lessons Learned initiatives. Oversee site H&S compliance, lead investigations, and manage corrective actions. Interpret engineering drawings and standards to ensure H&S compliance. Lead and manage internal audit programs, including training and coaching. Work Experience Minimum 3-5 years of OHS experience in construction, industrial processing, or environmental remediation, with relevant educational background and specific safety training. Knowledge of lithium-ion batteries, high voltage electrical equipment, and construction safety preferred. Certifications like CSP or CMIOSH are assets. Practical knowledge of various safety topics and legislative requirements across local, national, and European standards. Competencies Ability to drive H&S control processes, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma is an asset. Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
