* Build large‑scale batch and real‑time data pipelines using GCP data processing frameworks.
* Use an analytical, data‑driven approach to understand fast‑changing business needs.
* Collaborate with the team to evaluate business priorities, liaise with key partners, and address data system requirements.
* Participate in project planning: identify milestones, deliverables, and resource requirements; track activities and task execution.
Required Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
* 5–10 years of experience in a data engineering role.
* Expertise in software engineering with Scala, Java, or Python.
* Advanced SQL skills – preference for BigQuery.
* Strong knowledge of Google Managed Services (Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Data Fusion).
* Experience with workflow management.
* Understanding of GCP batch and streaming architecture.
* Solid knowledge of data technologies and data modeling.
* Experience building modern, cloud‑native data pipelines and operations with an ELT philosophy.
* Experience with data migration and data warehousing.
* Insight into organizing, normalizing, and storing complex data for both ETL and end users.
* Passion for designing ingestion and transformation of data from multiple sources into a cohesive data asset.
* Knowledge of developer tools, CICD, etc.
* Excellent communication skills with empathy toward end users and internal customers.
* Experience with the Big Data ecosystem (Hadoop, Hive, HDFS, HBase).
* Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
