Ph3About the HW System Architect Position /h3 pThe HW System Architect (HWSA) is part of the System Architecture Team and reports directly to the HW Technologies leader. In the Platform Team, the role follows semiconductor technology trends for vehicle platforms such as Cockpit, Body computer, Zone Control Unit or Cluster ECU. In the Offer Team, the HWSA contributes to early product definition during the Offer Phase to evaluate the HW perimeter and cost. In the System Team, the HWSA defines HW system requirements and architecture under the coordination of the SAL. The position is based at our office in Torino. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liMap vehicle functions into ECU and define the high‑level hardware‑network topology of the main interconnection buses (Ethernet, CAN, LIN, A2B) in new platform developments for ICE or EV vehicles. /li liDefine the power distribution (12V‑48V) architecture of vehicle ECUs in ICE and EV platforms. /li liDefine the main hardware components of a Cockpit, Body Computer, Zone Control Unit or Cluster ECU and provide the HW architecture document. /li liMonitor technology trends on HW functionalities and compare proposals from different vendors. /li liSpecify and select basic HW function components to achieve target performance and best cost/performance compromise. /li liParticipate in competitor analysis and transfer best design practices to the internal team. /li liEstablish and monitor traceability of system requirements related to HW, mechanics, optics and industrial constraints in cooperation with SRE and SW System Architects. /li liModel the system HW to allocate requirements to HW system blocks. /li liProvide governance in the HW team on implementation proposals. /li liDeploy system FMEA and qualitative FTA. /li liSupport the Functional Safety Management Team in technical safety concept definition. /li liSupport the Testing team in defining industrialization requirements. /li liSupport HW, layout, mechanical, thermal, optical development teams during review and implementation of critical requirements (e.g., safety‑relevant). /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul li5+ years of experience in automotive OEM architecture definition for ICE and EV vehicles. /li liElectronic Engineering or Information Science degree. /li liKnowledge of electronics component technology. /li liExperience in HW design, HW product development or HW production.HW/SW partitioning and HW/Mechanical concept definition. /li liCompetence matured in automotive or large‑scale markets. /li liExperience in planning, monitoring and control activities. /li liAdvanced written and spoken English. /li liBasic spoken Italian (not mandatory). /li liTechnical leadership. /li liAbility to work with multinational distributed teams. /li liHigh capacity for synthesis of technical issues. /li liProblem‑solving attitude. /li liWillingness to travel to customers, suppliers and Marelli locations. /li /ul h3What the Position Offers /h3 ul liFast‑paced yet supportive international team with a mission to transform mobility. /li liOn‑boarding and training support. /li liHybrid work model combining remote focus time and co‑creation time in the office. /li /ul h3Next Steps /h3 pTogether, we will drive the world toward a safer, greener, and better‑connected future.
