The Finance Operations, Accounting Analysis (FOAA) team at Amazon is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences. We are currently looking for a Finance Analyst to join our VAT Accounting team (Indirect Tax). /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liAssist with month-end activities, including the closure of sub-ledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, reporting, and balance sheet account analysis. /li liReview and support month-end flux analysis for PL and balance sheet accounts, providing stakeholders with insights into changes and the reasons behind them. /li liDemonstrate a high level of professional expertise in accounting, applying in-depth knowledge of principles and system design to identify and address complex issues, often in collaboration with leadership for resolution. /li liEnsure that financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are well-documented, maintained, and consistently improved. /li liReview balance sheet reconciliations, including reconciliations with VAT tax returns and sub-ledger reports, and take appropriate action to resolve any discrepancies. /li liCollaborate with auditors on audit-related queries and ensure a smooth audit process. /li liEnsure GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) compliance and internal control standards are met, working closely with stakeholders to align on improvements or changes. /li liLead and support new business or system launches, including conducting UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for accounting entries and financial reporting. /li liIdentify opportunities for process improvements and partner with tech teams to drive automation and system solutions. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul li5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience. /li li4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience. /li li5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience. /li li4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience. /li li4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience. /li liBachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or CPA. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul li4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience. /li liExperience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards). /li liExperience in accounts receivable or account payable. /li /ul pbLocation: /b ES, Community of Madrid, Madrid /p pAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
