WDC Event Operations Manager - Temprary assignment We are looking for an Event Operations Manager - temporary assignment (minimum 12 months) in Milan to drive operations for all activities related to virtual, hybrid and live Event Experiences! WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR You will develop and lead the program that successfully supports the Milan event strategy and consumer experience in Nike Inc. You’re experienced across all disciplines of event operations for B-to-B Events and have a proven track record in driving event innovation based on strategy. The person will be responsible for the physical spaces used by Nike incorporating the administration of all non-Retail related real estate activities (including acquisition and construction), building usage, and maintenance As the point of contact for events, you’re always up to date about Milan suroundings latest and greatest, Nike’s marketplace, the hidden gems and places to be. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON - Create event briefings and production design based on business objectives envisioning the consumer journey - Manage local event experiences in collaboration with EMEA WDC Event Operations Team and Nike’s strategic partner(s) for execution - Drive and manage (outsourced) resource planning - Optimize the event infrastructure by designing and strengthening operational, analytical, and financial processes - Create communication plans to ensure flawless implementation of event program innovations - Pro-active contribution shaping the future of events - Manage department’s financial processes including forecasts and reporting, Participate in budget planning, development and preparation - Manage long-term internal - and external strategic partnerships - Drive strategic decisions based on impact, agility and efficiency WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH Reporting directly the EMEA WDC Event Operations Manager, part of the EMEA Events team from across the geography you will implement the EMEA event strategy in Milano supported by the EMEA Environment - and Experience teams to bring the Milano event experience to life. You will collaborate with senior leaders and work closely with cross-functional partners to provide thought leadership, manage business relationships and execute on Nike only event concepts. WHAT YOU BRING - BA or BA suggested; Hospitality Industry or Consumer Goods workplaces preferred with a focus on large scale operations. - Minimum of 5-year work experience in a high-profile operations role related to events - Demonstrated experience leading strategic partners and supplier management - Proven ability to operationalize business strategies - Excellent understanding of the Event industry and its trends - Proven expertise in project - and transition management - Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching, driving and inspiring (extended) teams - Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities - Strong verbal, written and presentation skills - Ability to influence multiple business partners across all levels of the organization - Fluent in Italian and English, required - Ability to effectively manage time, and individually prioritize tasks of competing priorities - A team player aiming for shared success - Financial and business acumen - Preparedness to travel, 10-20% NIKE, Inc. is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it.
