Supplier Quality Engineer
Smart working activity (home office) for 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
* Evaluation, selection, and qualification of new suppliers, as well as ongoing monitoring of existing suppliers.
* Support strategies to outsource manufacturing.
* Conduct audits at suppliers to ensure quality standards and process capability.
* Develop and implement measures to improve supplier quality in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
* Analyse quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
* Monitor supplier quality key metrics and implement action plans based on data analysis.
* Manage 8D problem-solving procedures to address quality issues effectively.
* Oversee the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) to ensure supplier parts meet quality requirements.
* Contribute to global supplier auditing processes to ensure compliance and quality standards.
* Manage supplier relationships and foster collaboration for quality improvement.
* Participate in supplier meetings and negotiate quality agreements.
* Support Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) activities related to quality.
* Facilitate quality circles with suppliers to promote continuous improvement.
* Support supplier development initiatives and risk management strategies.
* Work with functional teams to establish supplier key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Assist in developing supply chain risk mitigation plans.
* Work with functional teams to determine the root cause of critical issues and implement preventive and corrective actions.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
* Five years’ experience in supplier quality, ideally in automotive, electronics, or mechanical engineering industries.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
* Solid knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949), Six Sigma, SPC, and failure analysis tools.
* Proven experience in supplier auditing, development, and risk management.
* Familiarity with KPI monitoring, data analysis, and action planning.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
* Experience with supplier relationship management and project management skills.
* The good knowledge of the English language is mandatory to perform the job
