Overview
We are looking for a Resource to be part of Local Procurement organization. This role plays a crucial part in optimizing material costs and enhancing productivity within the LOB. This resource will report to the Procurement Manager.
The Resource will be responsible to lead and execute all the initiatives associated with technical material productivity in the site and to manage some categories and vendors in accordance with the local business need.
Major focus
* Manage few categories and relative vendors to guarantee business continuity and proper material negotiation and cost control. Responsible for selecting and managing suppliers which deliver components needed to produce Cooling units. The responsibilities will include Category Management, new suppliers scouting and on-boarding, suppliers negotiation, quality and service level assurance related to the assigned Categories. The Buyer will work with staff across departments to grant business continuity in accordance with forecast needs having care to take Category decisions based on the demand. The Buyer should have overall vision skills minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to budget.
* Participate to the BOC to animate productivity actions with the target to get them approved and applied within P&L date, working in co-operation with R&D and Plant Quality being the full Procurement team representative in the BOC
* Support Buyers to organize, execute and lead QVE days / actions working in cooperation with Projects Managers, Marketing, Quality and R&D. Build and follow up a solid pipeline of projects through new ideas that secure productivity year over year to guarantee a robust RF productivity plan in co-operation with buyers and the Procurement Manager.
Qualifications
* University / College degree in Industrial Engineering, Business or equivalent.
* 2-3 years of experience in Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing or Supply Chain areas or Project Management
* Understanding of Manufacturing Processes.
* Fluent English (written and oral)
* Availability to travel Internationally (Valid Passport and USA Visa)
Tech Skills
* Supply Chain knowledge, Supplier Management, Negotiation, Market analysis, Cost Modeling
* Ability to interpret engineering specs, drawings, BOM (Bill of Materials)
* Project Management knowledge
* Financial acumen
* Internal Cost and Budget Management knowledge
* Total cost analysis
* Proficient in Database Management (Excel, PowerPoint at a high level)
