Scope
Operate and perform in a broad range of varied Process Science work activities that support the team, department, and company objectives. This includes laboratories working within the required operational areas, working closely alongside Associates at all levels, coaching, mentoring, and driving standards where required. The role holder will be responsible for driving and implementing downscale models and process improvements based on the Quality by Design approach.
In this role, you will:
1. Develop small-scale models for supporting troubleshooting activities and process improvements to enhance manufacturing process robustness.
2. Work closely within Process Science work areas and in a cross-functional environment (MSAT Manufacturing Support & Stewardship, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and TRD).
3. Plan/prioritize the laboratories' work of the Department/Team, accordingly to Process Science Leads, providing feedback as necessary. Work activities must meet the required standards of the area and maintain healthy, safe, and productive working conditions.
4. Actively develop their own skills to stay up-to-date in their area of specialization, improve performance, and manage their own time to ensure objectives are met. Contribute to the development of the team by adequately transferring their specialist knowledge to other team members.
5. Propose and apply innovative technologies (e.g., PAT, SuS, etc.) to improve manufacturing process robustness.
6. Create effective working relationships by gaining the support and trust of their manager, colleagues, and team members.
7. Ensure appropriate standards of GMP, housekeeping, and safety are applied within their area, in accordance with GSK guidelines.
8. Get involved in ad hoc projects (Process Robustness/improvements, Tech Transfer, and Methods Development) as a referent person (SPOC and/or SME).
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
9. Degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacy or equivalent scientific degree with solid industry experience
10. Proven experience in a process development support role
11. Spoken & written English and Italian.

12. Proven process understanding (small-scale vaccines/biologics, GMP, Regulatory aspects)
