A Trade Marketing Specialist focusing on foreign markets is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to enhance product visibility and drive sales through international distributors, retailers and travel retail. This role involves close collaboration with sales, marketing, and distribution teams to ensure that trade marketing activities align with both regional and global business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of international markets to identify opportunities and challenges. Utilize data from sources like Nielsen to draw actionable insights and present findings to internal teams and distributors.
- Strategy Development: Create and implement marketing strategies aligned with the brand's objectives, focusing on product launches, promotional activities, and loyalty programs to boost brand perception and sales.
- Distributor Support: Maintain and strengthen relationships with international distributors, providing them with the necessary tools and presentations to enhance product distribution and visibility in their respective markets.
- Promotional Activities: Plan and execute in-store promotions, events, and product launches tailored to international markets, ensuring that all activities are culturally appropriate and effective.
- Budget Management: Oversee the trade marketing budget for assigned international markets, ensuring that all initiatives are cost-effective and provide a strong return on investment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development, media teams, and other departments to ensure cohesive strategy execution across all channels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in trade marketing/marketing, preferably within the cosmetics industry or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and trend identification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with international partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are advantageous
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
