Key job responsibilities
Operations Program Specialist (OPS) will support the Operations Accessories team through the new product introduction (NPI) and all engineering phases, production and sustaining to the end of life. Working closely with the Ops Program Manager, the OPS will be involved with supporting new accessories programs, managing all project documentation (including but not limited to bills of materials (BOM) and engineering change orders), coordinating configuration documentation during evaluation builds, and integrating BOM information into our PLM Amazon Systems. The OPS will also consolidate Lab Part numbers for the Bills of Materials, handle routing change orders, interface with external teams to coordinate costed BOMs, allocation samples and XVTs budgets, and work with internal teams and external contract manufacturers to coordinate material availability. In addition, the OPS will collaborate to create AI tools to optimize the process of creating BOM in PLM systems.
A day in the life
The Operations Project Specialist will work closely with Technical Program Managers (TPMs), Operations Program Managers (OPMs), Engineering Project Specialists (EPSs), Retail Engineering Program Manager (EPM), Packaging Program Managers (PPS), and Core Engineering teams during the New Product Introduction process for Core Accessories programs. The OPS manages consolidation of all project documentation including BOMs and engineering change orders for the Main Assembly and sellable SKUs at the final packaging stage in our PLM Systems.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of program or project management experience
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or 2+ years of Amazon RME (BB/3P) full time experience
- 1+ years of Computerized Maintenance Management System program experience
- 1+ years of maintenance planner/scheduler in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or distribution industries experience
- 3+ years of advanced Microsoft Word and Excel experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
- Experience with SQL and Excel
- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
- Experience using Microsoft Projects software
- Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems
- Experience working with cross‐functional teams
