2-4 Years Experience in Interior Consultancy (Not Design and Build)
Overview: We are seeking a talented, proactive, and detail-oriented Intermediate Interior Designer
with 2-4 years of experience in interior consultancy (not design and build) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in design principles and experience working on conceptual interior design projects. Proficiency in
2D drafting
and
3D modelling
is essential, as well as a focus on producing high-quality
renderings
(preferably using
Enscape ). This role involves collaborating with interior designers, architects, and other stakeholders to create visually compelling spaces, developing detailed design documentation, and delivering comprehensive client presentations from concept to execution.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with the design team to develop
2D and 3D visualizations, renderings, and models for client presentations and project proposals.
Assist in interpreting
design briefs
and conceptualizing creative solutions that meet client goals and project requirements.
Prepare detailed
2D drawings, including
floor plans,
elevations, and
sections
using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
Create
photorealistic 3D renderings
and
visualizations
using
Enscape
or other rendering tools to help clients visualize design concepts and project outcomes.
Produce
virtual walkthroughs
and
flythroughs
to enhance client understanding and engagement.
Client Interaction & Presentation: Develop and present
comprehensive design presentations, mood boards, and material boards that effectively communicate design ideas to clients and stakeholders.
Attend
client meetings
to understand project goals and preferences, presenting progress and design updates.
Address
client feedback
and make necessary adjustments to design plans to ensure client satisfaction.
Develop
presentation packages
that combine 2D and 3D visuals, material selections, and design concepts to effectively communicate the project vision.
Project Documentation & Coordination: Create and maintain
accurate, detailed design documentation, including specifications, schedules, and material lists.
Ensure all drawings, models, and renderings are
up-to-date
and reflect the latest design revisions.
Support senior designers and project managers in managing
project timelines, budgets, and tracking progress.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to
source materials, finishes, and furnishings.
Assist in managing the procurement and delivery of materials, ensuring
on-time delivery
and quality control.
Produce
high-quality 3D models, photorealistic renderings, and animations for design presentations.
Utilize
Enscape
for rendering and creating immersive, interactive visual experiences for clients.
Stay informed about the latest
visualization software, techniques, and design trends to enhance the quality and effectiveness of renderings and presentations.
Material Selection & Quality Control: Research, select, and present
materials, finishes, and
colour schemes
that align with design concepts.
Develop and present
material boards, samples, and finishes for
client approval.
Ensure the accuracy and quality of all design work before submission or presentation, implementing revisions promptly.
Site Visits & Project Execution: Conduct
site visits
to gather
measurements, assess project conditions, and ensure design feasibility.
Assist in overseeing
installations
and ensuring design specifications are met on-site.
Monitor project progress to ensure all design elements are installed according to specifications and timelines.
Work closely with
senior designers, architects, and other team members to ensure
design consistency
and alignment across all stages of the project.
Participate in team brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance project outcomes.
Provide
mentorship
to junior designers and other team members, sharing knowledge and guiding them in design processes and techniques.
Administrative Support: Maintain
organized records
and files for all design projects.
Prepare
project-related documents, including proposals, reports, and schedules.
Manage
project-related administrative tasks, ensuring that deadlines are met, and budgets are adhered to.
Professional Development & Trend Research: Stay updated on
current design trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate into projects.
Participate in
training
and
professional development
opportunities to enhance design skills and software proficiency.
Research emerging trends and innovative techniques to integrate into design solutions.
Other Responsibilities: Assist in
styling, photography, and other
marketing-related tasks
as needed.
Travel for business purposes, including styling, photoshoots, and site visits, as required.
Be available to work
additional hours
occasionally to meet project deadlines and client needs.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree
in
Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
2-4 years
of professional experience in
interior consultancy
(NOT design and build).
Strong proficiency in design software such as
AutoCAD,
SketchUp,
Revit,
3ds Max,
Rhino,
Enscape, and the
Adobe Creative Suite
(Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
Proven experience in
rendering, specifically using
Enscape, and producing
3D visualizations.
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of
design projects, including 2D drafting, 3D modelling, and renderings.
Experience with creating
virtual walkthroughs
and
flythroughs
for client presentations.
Excellent
communication, organizational, and
presentation skills.
Ability to manage
multiple projects
simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Creative mindset with a strong
attention to detail
and a passion for interior design.
Professional appearance
and excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
Ability to work independently and proactively while providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
