The manager is responsible for coordinating the flow of receiving, handling and shipping. Acts as the point of contact for customers and service providers, such as ocean carriers, air freight forwarders, global consolidators, customs brokers, or trucking companies. Prepare documents, such as bills of landing, shipment and letters of credit, invoices, quotes, and process vendor payments. Maintain database with logistics information (e.g. flow of inventory, track of products, metrics, on-time delivery rates, fulfillment rates).
